If you want to thrive in Dying Light 2, you’re going to have to adventure at night. However, the undead isn’t the only threat that shows up come sundown. Players are infected with the virus that has claimed much of the world, turning them into zombies, and the only way to fight it is with UV rays, either from UV lamps or the sun. It looks like Joker 2 is going to get a bit weird with it, as a set video shows the clown prince of crime being chased by two other versions of himself.

We don’t technically know all that much about Joker 2, or Joker: Folie à Deux, but a new set video shows Joaquin Phoenix sans-clown outfit being chased by what looks to be two other Jokers. The footage is shot from quite far away so it’s a bit difficult to make out, but the Joker running away from the other two is obviously Phoenix, with another version of the character seemingly being a plain-clothes version of him from the first film, possibly wearing the clown mask he also dons. A little over a year ago, Lies of P arrived on console and PC and earned positive reviews for its souls-like action, tough-as-nails bosses, and creative spin on the tale of Pinocchio. To celebrate, developers Neowiz and Round8 Studio have launched a new store stocked with limited-edition T-shirts, hoodies, and more.

The first wave of products includes six T-shirts, two hoodies, and one cap adorned with the Lies of P logo. Actor Mads Mikkelsen will star in the new Indiana Jones movie alongside Harrison Ford and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. The film’s plot remains a mystery, but Mikkelsen has now provided a tease about what he knows. Speaking to Collider, the Hannibal and James Bond actor said he’s fortunate to have been given early access to the script, and his verdict is that “it was everything I wished it to be.”

“I’m very, very excited about it… I rewatched Raiders of the Lost Ark the other day, it is so well-done and so charming, and it’s such great storytelling,” he said. “So yes it’s a great honor to be part of that franchise that I grew up with… I’m in a lucky position where they let me read the script before. Halo Infinite’s multiplayer has bots for the first time in the history of the franchise, and while the AI soldiers are capable combatants who try to play like real humans, they will never taunt players after a kill, at least not intentionally. Developer 343 Industries confirmed this to Eurogamer and said any evidence that this might be the case from the recent multiplayer test was only a bug.

“We never want to punish learning, especially not by having bots engage in behaviors that a player could feel is exclusionary. For that reason, we don’t have explicit programming that tells the bots to teabag or taunt you in any way,” the developer explained.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be released on September 1, developer Daedalic has announced. It arrives that day on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch version coming later in 2022.

Ubisoft has announced that Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope’s third and final DLC expansion will launch on August 30. It’s called Rayman in the Phantom Show and features, if you can believe it, Rayman.

In this expansion, Rabbid Mario and Rabbid Peach will join Rayman to fight Phantom, a returning enemy from Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. Phantom works at the Space Opera Network and his ratings have been low, so Rayman, Rabbid Mario, and Rabbid Peach will explore new levels on TV studio sets in order to spark interest in viewers again. Rayman can use his helicopter ability to bring his teammates down with him as he jumps from a variety of vertical platforms.

It’s been obvious for a very long time that Lego games iterate more than innovate. If you pick up a Lego title, you are guaranteed a wholesome romp in whichever licensed universe is at hand. Everything is breakable and spits out glittery, golden collectibles when destroyed. Beloved characters are Lego-fied and reenact their famous antics with an extra dollop of cartoon absurdity. Those qualities remain appealing, but every so often, developer Traveller’s Tales stumbles onto an idea that requires an extra bit of creativity to really make it sing. Sometimes TT steps up to the plate, like it did for Lego City Undercover and Lego Dimensions. Other times, well, it doesn’t. It’s a little sad to see Lego DC Super-Villains fall into the latter category.
